This winter has not been all that good for photography sadly. In part my fault, in part the weather and partly a series of viruses and colds – they all conspired against me! However a recent break in Exmouth (Devon), while quite short, meant the camera got some exercise as did I. It was a brief stay and the weather was frequently quite gloomy (to say nothing of windy) however its position on the coast beside the River Exe makes it a good place to wander around for a while. The seafront at Exmouth is quite a long one and there is a cycle track all the way so the bikes got out for the first time since the Autumn and us on them. The first day cycling along the coast it seemed easy – cycling back I realised that was because the wind had been behind us and was so strong that going back was hard work! The cycle route also runs up the valley of the Exe to Exeter. We didn’t go all the way but we did cycle up to Topsham among other places.
While the weather was not all that good there were times when the sun tried to break through. I do like this image and it was part of a lovely evening walk.
