I’d been looking at getting out to try and catch some real Autumn colours for a while. I was wondering about Westonbirt Arboretum. I have been there before but it is quite a trek for me. Equally it was apparent from comments on the photography course that, at times, the photographers there outnumbered the trees is not the leaves :).
Given that Dartington is very close and I’ve taken pictures there before it seemed an obvious spot. I was just a little later in the day than I would have liked but there was still enough sun to bring out the truly lovely autumn colours. I shot around 100 images and was quite happy with maybe 20% of them – quite a high proportion for me. I’ll probably go back if the weather is good to see what it is like in a week or so but for now it looks good.
